Coy Racing headed to the 2017 NEMA banquet this past weekend. It was a great event and Coy Racing came home with some great awards! The team took home a plaque for their 8th place finish with both car and driver. The team also won the NEMA Lite Associate Member "Never Say Die" Award (along with Bethany Stoehr) and Richie was awarded the NEMA Rookie of the Year. Mike Scrivani also presented all the NEMA lilte winners with their bonus checks, including Richie for his win at Waterford this year.

The Coy Racing season has come to a close this past weekend at the Waterford Speedbowl with a non-points race. This race was only added a week or so ago and the team decided they would go, but they were not going to buy any new tires for this race. So, needless to say it was a tough day of racing. If you have never been to the World Series at Thompson, you should put it on your racing bucket list. They had over 400 cars onsite in 14 different divisions running over 3 days! The guys loaded up and headed to Thompson Speedway for 2 of the days for racing. The NEMA Lites qualified on Saturday and raced on Sunday. It's been quite a while since the Coy Racing team was at Thompson and they have made a lot of improvements since then and they showed. [ 202 more words ]
