Coy Racing Snags Another Finish in NEMA Lite Division

This past Saturday, the Coy Racing team headed back to Seekonk Speedway for a Lites only race. The team was expecting a fight with the weather, but it turned out to be an awesome day for racing. The #19 Mach-1 Performance midget unloaded and performed all day. It was the first race all season that the car started, ran and came back to the pits with no mechanical issues for all sessions! The team is very happy with that. The on track performance wasn’t quite what the team was looking for, but they did put another finish in the books on the season.

Richie started on the pole in the heat race and crossed the line 5th, which put him in a qualifying spot for the feature for the second straight week. This put him on the pole for the feature as well. The race went green to checkered and when it was over, Richie came home 11th.

The team has a week off this week before heading to Speedway 51 in Groveton, NH. This will be the first time anyone on the team has been there!

A couple weeks ago NEMA took the action to Star Speedway for the Marvin Rifchin Memorial Race. In the NEMA series Jim Chambers took home the checkers, and Avery Stoehr in the Lites.
