Coy Racing Captures 1st Midget Win!

The guys loaded up this past Saturday and headed to New-London Waterford Speedbowl for the 3rd and final time this year. Fresh off their latest top 5 at Monadnock, the guys were pumped and ready to duplicate that top 5 again. The car unloaded pretty quick and Richie was just outside the top 5 on the speed charts in both practices.

Handicapping put Richie starting on the outside pole in his heat race. On the start, He quickly jumped out to the lead. He was able to hold the lead until just past halfway when he would get past and slip back to 3rd. He would hang on to the 2 cars that past him and cross the line 3rd. Once again the team qualified for the feature handicapping.

The feature line-up put Richie on the outside pole once again. On the start he was able to jump out to the lead. The race went green to checkered and Richie lead every lap on route to the teams first midget win! It was an awesome race and the team was shocked at the outcome! We can’t thank everyone enough for the out pouring of congratulations over the last few days!

The team is off this weekend before heading back to Wiscasett Speedway for the big 65 lap race!
