Coy Racing Ends Season with a Final Top Ten

The Coy Racing season has come to a close this past weekend at the Waterford Speedbowl with a non-points race. This race was only added a week or so ago and the team decided they would go, but they were not going to buy any new tires for this race. So, needless to say it was a tough day of racing. The car performed as well as could be expected with nothing but used tires on the car all day. Richie drew the last place pill, so he started 7th in the heat race. The feature line-up would be set by your finishing position in the heat and then an invert. Richie fought the car and was not able to make any head way in the heat and finished 7th. This put him 14th in the feature line-up. The guys put the best set of used tires on the car for the feature, which helped and Richie fought his way all the way up to 8th place by the time the checkered came out!

A top ten is always a good way to finish the season! Next up for the team is the NEMA Banquet on Dec. 2nd and then Richie and Jay will transition over to Tolerico Motorsports for the indoor racing season in January.
